Slow & Steady Records announces the release of singer-songwriter Jensen Engineering’s four-song imperfect EP. Recorded and produced entirely by multi-instrumentalist Jonathan Seiberlich, Imperfect EP is at its core an expression of empathy, as Seiberlich humbly puts himself into the shoes of others to better understand their circumstances and worldviews. “Each song was written at a very different time in my life,” notes Seiberlich. “And each relates to an emotion connected to someone I care about very deeply.” Seiberlich’s raw, unproduced, acoustic approach to the recordings are a departure from previous releases, including his recent single “Ghost” (produced by Otis McDonald) and his debut Album # One. And yet the imperfections only make the songs shine brighter, humanizing the stories being told. “The title also alludes to the imperfections in my own self,” notes Seiberlich. “And to all of humanity – we who are the cause of so much pain, but also so much beauty.”
